The main entrance, for the Tourist Route, is at Daniłowicza 10 in Wieliczka, about 10 km south-east of the centre of Kraków according to the mine, near the A4 exit “Kraków Wieliczka”. The Miners’ Route starts from the Regis Shaft, at pl. Kościuszki 9, in the town.

By train from Kraków
The mine’s access page points to a suburban train from Kraków Główny to Wieliczka Rynek-Kopalnia (line SKA1 of Koleje Małopolskie), then a few minutes’ walk to the mine. We could not verify the journey time or how often trains run: check the timetable on the operator’s site or in a journey-planner app.
By bus 304
Bus 304 of the Kraków city transport (MPK) leaves from the Dworzec Główny Zachód stop, near Galeria Krakowska. Get off at “Wieliczka Kopalnia Soli” for the Daniłowicz Shaft, or at “Wieliczka Rynek” for the Regis Shaft. The ticket must cover zones I and II (the “aglomeracyjny” ticket). Journey time and frequency are not given by the mine: check the timetable.
By car
The mine is near the A4 exit “Kraków Wieliczka”. The official car park P1 “Tężnia” (entrance at ul. Dembowskiego 22) is the largest. The car park P2 “Daniłowicz” is for cars and motorcycles only, with its entrance at Daniłowicza 10.
According to the official 2026 price list, parking costs 40 PLN for a car or motorcycle and 60 PLN for a bus or camper, with the first 15 minutes free. Check the current rates on the official site.
From Kraków airport
